Guangdong region - China's Southern Center

The densely populated province of Guangdon is located in the south of China. In the north, it is limited by mountains and in the south by the South China Sea.
The modern metropolis Guangzhou is the most important industrial centre in the south of China. Its closeness to Hong Kong and Macao, its convenient location in the vast delta of the navigable Pearl River and on the coast turn the city with more than 9 million inhabitants into one of the most important emporiums of the region Guangdon. Day-trippers from Hong Kong often visit the near city Shenzen due to its complex leisure and theme parks.

Holidaymakers will find many hotels of international standard in the big cities of the south. Guangdon’s nature is characterised by many different landscapes.

While tourists will find mile-long sandy beaches and hotel resorts with well-kept golf courses in the south, the province’s fertile central plains in the north are characterised by the wide network of the navigable Pearl River. In the east, near Guangxi, the scenery is characterised by rolling hills and numerous lakes.

The rugged northern highland is particularly interesting for climbers and adventure tourists. Deep in the mountains, near the town Shaoguan, lies the temple of Nainhua, which is very old and subject of many legends.
