Chicago – Illinois – The metropolis of jazz music

The metropolis Chicago – directly located at Lake Michigan – is belonging to the US county of Illinois. Within the third largest city of the United States of America there are living more than 2,8 million people. Naturally there is an enormous choice of hotels, guesthouses and vacation flats in such a metropolis. Even fancy or non standard requirements according the accomodation during your holiday are really no problem at all.

During the worldwide economic crisis Chicago became a metropolis for Jazz music. Heroes of that style of music like Earl Hines, Jelly Roll Morton or Louis Armstrong where at home in the clubs of the city at that time. Even nowadays a visit of one the Jazz Clubs is worth someone's while.

Who wants to have a great view over the city shoud visit the highest building of the city. The Sears Tower with its height of 442 meters is the fourth tallest building of the world. It accomodates the Skydeck observatory in the 103rd floor.

Having convenient weather conditions one can see from the height of more than 400 meters even as far as the US counties of Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Maybe you can detect your own hotel, motel or the reserved vacation flat between the skyscrapers of the city.

A particular experience for adults and children is the United Center. This is the place where the world-famous Chicago Bulls, who are a team of the National Basketball Assocation, carry out there home matches.
