The region of Champagne-Ardenne developed from the union of the historic region of Champagne with the French part of the up to 600 m high Ardennes lying in the north of the country.
In the east, a 20,000 hectare big wine-growing region joins the region. Here the “King of all wines”, the champagne, is made. The region of Champagne is one of the smallest wine-growing areas in France, but nevertheless attracts many tourists from the inland and from abroad every year.
A charming landscape with large rivers, deep forests and plains which change their image depending on the season, historic city centres, golf courses and top restaurants – the region of Champagne-Ardenne makes the hearts of active people and gourmets leap for joy likewise.
