A journey into the past

Budapest offers a wide range of historical sights. One of them is the Castle Quarter, which was once the centre of cultural life. Due to sieges, the quarter had to be rebuilt again and again.
Another attraction in Budapest is Margaret Island. The island is free of traffic and therefore offers ideal conditions for a relaxed day’s holiday. Visitors will find overnight accommodation in the Kur-Hotel.

The vicinity of Budapest is also worth an excursion. 30 km from Budapest lies the small town Gödöllõ with its beautiful baroque castle. A trip to the impressive baroque town Szentendre is like a trip into the past: on a tour through the town with its coffee houses and enchanted gardens, visitors will feel like being in another century.
