Birmingham, England – A town in new shine

The million metropolis Birmingham is situated in the region West Midlands of the European state England. As second largest town of its country it will hardly surprise that the choice of holiday apartments, flats and hotels is more than generous. If you think Birmingham is still the old, grey industrial town from the beginnings of the last century, you will be very surprised by your visit of this town thoroughly.

During the last years the appearance of the streets of houses was renewed decently, so that this today increasingly inspires the inhabitants as well as the present tourists. Every year at Christmas season the „Frankfurt Market“takes place in the centre of the town. This name does not come by chance, a matter of fact German Christmas articles, jewellery, leather goods and examples of the good German cuisine are offered.

Technophiles should visit the technology museum "Birmingham Thinktank". Highlight of the exhibition is one of the steam machines, built by James Watt in the year 1779. The best at this example of the early engineer's art is that this more than 200 year-old machine is still functional.

For the rest you will find, after the West End in London, the best shopping possibilities of the complete England. These are more than enough reasons to pay your attention to this town and to reside a few nice days in one of the holiday apartments, B&B or in a hotel respectively.
