The Balearic Islands are one of the preferred holiday destinations in Spain. With three hundred days of sunshine per year the Balearic Islands in Spain boast the ideal weather for any vacation. These islands are located off the east coast of mainland Spain and are divided into two groups.
The group in the north called Gimnesias consists of the islands Mallorca, Menorca and Cabrera. In the southwest the group called Pitiusas consists of the islands Ibiza and Formentera.
