Arona – Phenomenal nature and unique art

The stylish city of Arona is located in the south of Tenerife. It is among the richest towns of the island. Even though there have been many hotels, leisure residences and holiday flats have been developped, Arona was able to keep its charme. Here on Teneriffa (Spain) there is a very interesting mixture of a style of the colonial age and the times before the spaniards. The church of Arona and the old city hall are very impressive and well worth seeing.

Starting at your leisure residence or your hotel in Arona, you can go for uncounted walking-tours. The trails are very suitable for the lovers of walking. Besides walking and biking there are very many kinds of sports are offered which can be done in the free nature. Dreamly beaches and ample golf links are situated only about 15 kilometers from the city centre.

You can find many sights in Arona besides the city hall for example the church San Antonio Abad, which was built in colonial style. Very impressive is the retable, which is sait to originally stem from a cloister.
The nature offers a great variety. Where you can play golf on the vast and perfect created golf links you can admire the untouched nature and their brute force in Parque Las Aguiles – the eagle's park- and in Parque Nacional de Las Canadas del Teide.

The worldwide third highest volcano on an island is located in Parque del Teide. Good signposted walking trails lead to the peak of the Teide, which is snow-capped all over the year. The eagle park is the largest animal park on the island and is impressing due to the birds of prey displays. It's not far away from Arona and can easily be reached by public transport or a rented car.
