With about 2,5 million inhabitants, Arkansas belongs to the lesser populated States of the USA. With its wide plains and large forests, it is one of the States in which agriculture and farming is intense.

Arkansas’ capital is Little Rock, a pleasant place with about 185,000 residents and interesting museums, galleries and shopping possibilities. The State Capitol of 1911 is also worth seeing.
The high plateau of the Ozark State Forest lies in the west and northwest with lakes and Mount Magazine.

Nature lovers, campers and fishermen are drawn to the Buffalo River National Park. The river can be explored on canoe trips. The Hot Spring National Park is famous for its hot springs. In the city of the same name, which borders on the park, you will find many vacation houses, the “Arkansas Cottages”, and accommodations in hotels, in which wellness treatments can also be booked. 

As a visitor of this State you should not miss taking a guided tour through the Blanchard Spring Caverns in the north. This stalactite cave, accessible for a length of about one kilometer, is one of the best preserved caves of its kind in the world.  

The „Natural Golf State Trail „ stretches through the entire State. Tourists can find resorts on the lakes bed & breakfast inns, low price motels or accommodations aboard house boats for each taste and budget.
