Región Noreste Argentino (NEA), Argentina

 

The region Noreste Argentina is a region which surrounds almost the whole north and northeast of Argentina.  It was summarized with the region Noroeste Argetina to the region Norte grandee in 1999.
With an area of just 290.000 km² Noreste Argetina is a little bigger than the old Federal  Republic of
Germany, however it has almost 3.5 million inhabitants.  The largest towns are Ressitencia, Corrientes and Posadas.

The large part of this area the so-called Gran Chaco, a level  taken  through with dry woods.  There is a very dry climate with very hot summers.  Rivers and marshes, however, traverse the country in the east.   The weather there is also with higher precipitation.







For quite a long time the region also has been an aim for tourists who gaze at one of the main sights of Argentina in admiration.  It is the enormous waterfalls of Iguacu as well as the impressive jungle of Missiones, which surrounds this natural wonder.

Many people spend the whole holiday in the area.  Many hotels and other overnight accommodations on the spot offer the guest a good comfort.  The overnight stay  is often favourable in a motel on one of the main streets.  To experience the region Noreste Argentina correctly should include more time in one’s plans.
