Aquitaine ist the third largest region in France and lies in the southwest of the country on the border to Spain and the Atlantic. With old culture landscapes, diverse and breathtaking scenery formed by the sea and the Pyrenees, with elegant cities, rural areas and seaside resorts in Belle Epoche style, Aquitaine invites you to a trip full of adventure, relaxation and a variety of wines, fancy cuisine, history and cultural events. 

In the Pyrenees, in the “ Pyrenees Atlantiques“ national park, you will find tempting mountains, valleys and trails for hiking, climbing or paragliding. The mountain rivers make wildwater rafting possible. 

You will find excellent winter sport possibilities in several beautiful skiing regions. Aquitaine’s 250 kilometer long Atlantic coast is influenced by the Gulf Stream and the mild climate with almost 2200 hours of sun per year. Aside from wonderful, seemingly endless sand beaches, guests will also find many Thalasso centers in which relaxing wellness treatments are offered.

The entire region is developed extremely well touristically and visitors will find beautiful accommodations in vacation homes or apartments and in elegant hotels in the city or in the country.
Near Bordeaux, wine-growing areas invite you to a gourmet vacation. These areas have become known under the name of „Destination Vignobles”.

One of the most beautiful landscapes is „La Roque Gageac“, whose steep mountainsides are decorated with charming castles and fortresses.
