AmpuriabravaThe "coastal region" of Catalonia: Blanes: attractive fishing village. The Jardí Botánic Mar i Murtra botanical garden is well worth a visit. Tossa de Mar: beautiful town with preserved medieval centre. Old town walls and towers produce a picturesque impression.

Sant Pere Pescador: has the remains of an old fort, a baroque parish church and, some kilometres to the East, a beach which has developed into a meeting place for windsurfers on account of the favourable wind conditions.

L´Escala: one of the largest fishing ports in the country. The Greco-Roman past is also well worth exploring. Just outside the town are the remains of the town of Empúries, more than two thousand years old. A visit to the famous beaches (such as Cala Montog, Platja de Riells) is also recommended.
