Ahlbeck, Usedom Island

 

The Baltic Sea island of Usedom is Germanys second largest island with a coastline of 42 km and fabulous, fine, white, sandy, and stone-free beaches, some of which are up to 70 m wide.

Ahlbeck, which has its origins in a fishing village of the same name, has been a bathing resort since 1852, making it one of the oldest resorts on the island and one of the three Imperial Resorts.
Ahlbeck most famous landmark is the oldest intact pier on the German Baltic Coast, which celebrated its centenary in May 1998.
