Spree forest, Brandenburg

 

Only approx. 100 km to the south of the capital Berlin you can find the tourist paradise Lusatia. The Spreewald invites with its natural aromatic charm and its enchanted meadows to stay and dream. Romantic boat trips are compulsory and belong absolutely into the holiday programme. Furthermore, also profitable is a “Luebbenauer Gurkentour” which is organised every Wednesday and Saturday.

While the 30-km-bicycle tour you will get insider knowledge of the crisp cucumber which tastes really deliciously fresh in the Spreewald. In the cold season you can go for walking based on Gusto, take part in “Kremser-Tours” or do some nicely nostalgically ice-skating. The Spreewald offers living nature, not only on postcards.

In summer you can bike on the mounted ways which strike roots mostly beside the idyllic flows or in the shade of the trees or head for one of the numerous aims in the middle of the Spreewald. Existing for over 100 years the Spreewald gondoliers land the guests safe and comfortably from A to B.

The Spree also is a centre of attraction for paddlers who like to enjoy the calmness and placidity of the botany and the devotional seesaw waves. Around Luebbenau the Spreewald is especially ethnic. From there you can also go for remote tours, beyond the tourist paths. The spa in the crystal bath in which you can feel the pleasant effect of gemstones or plunge into the water park Luebbenau also don´t get a raw deal.

If you like it cultic you should visit the historic mill of the village and the Dutchman´s windmill. Since a century the Spreewald is adjusted to tourism and offers overnight stay possibilities including service in the superior style.
