Sicilies experience - vacation enjoy

Perhaps you only know Sicily from Hollywood mafia movies? Then we can set your mind at ease. There is absolutely no danger of being confronted by a war between two mafia families in this attractive island world. 

So look forward to Sicily’s sun on 14 smaller and larger islands, which overtrump each other in beauty, follow in the grand footsteps of the Greek, Arabs, Normans and of the Roman Empire, look forward to exquisite food like pasta with sardines or eggplant, and look forward to a dip in the pleasantly warm sea water. We are sure that Sicily will appeal to you.

Sometimes, you could believe you were in the tropics when you find rubber trees and banana stalks in Sicily. Then again, the Nebrodi Firs dominate the scenery and wildflowers and herbs spread their pleasant fragrances. Sicily’s vegetation is extremely diverse. Maybe because the climate varies?

When you taste the Sicilian cuisine, whose diversity (just like the architecture’s) has resulted from many different cultures, try fresh filled sardines, the sheep milk cheese Pecorino or one of the delicious desserts which originated in Arabia.

Later, you might want to take a nap in your pension, hotel or vacation home or apartment, and afterwards you can go swimming at the small bathing resort of Balestrate. Or marvel at the old rock paintings from the Old Stone Age at Monte Pellegrino. Just follow your choice of variety. That shouldn’t be a problem here in Sicily.
