Liguria, Italy

 

Liguria is a region in the northwest of Italy which stretches between the mountains of the Alps and the Apennines and along the Mediterranean Sea. The picturesque coastline, which is only 30 kilometers long, is divided into the eastern Riviera di Levante with the Cinque Terre and the western Riviera di Ponente on which the Flower Riviera is located.

Since many years, the exceedingly beautiful, diverse and Mediterranean landscape has drawn tourists from all over the world here. 

Quiet coves and long pebble and sand beaches string along the Gulf of Genoa and the picturesque coastal street passes through pretty, lively coastal towns in which many pensions, vacation homes and apartments are available to bathers, hikers, gourmets and culture vacationers.

The cities of  San Remo, Genoa, Savona or La Spezia have picturesque old towns, galleries, museums and a diverse nightlife program. The palate of hotels offered in all price classes is large.  Hikers will find excellent hiking routes, especially in the hinterland and in Cinque Terre. On the coast you can enjoy all types of water sports and you will find golf courses n the best locations. 

The best reason for a trip to Liguria however are the friendliest people of this coast who gladly welcome and pamper their guests.
