Mysterious Corsica - island of the beauty

The island Corsica belonging to France lies in the north of Sardinia, separated through the street of Bonifacio, in the Mediterranean. The usually mountainous interior finds its contrast in the coastal-level of Aleria. Here, lagoons and swamps outweigh the landscape from Corsica.

The island divides into two areas: The East coast, suitable for pure beach-vacationers, and the West coast, for adventurers and reconnaissance-tours. Many sections of Corsica are uninhabited and extended forests, the Macchie, cover a big part of the isle. A true paradise for nature-lovers and travelling-vacationers.

Corsica was spared by the mass-tourism up to now and whoever would like to shape his vacation rather individually, is offered the possibility of vacation in a vacation house, a vacation-apartment or, in a small typical hotel.

Tourists should not let themselves escape an excursion to the lime-rocks of Bonifacio. Also the reservation la Scandola, in the west of Corsica, as also the subsequent Calanches, rock-formations from red granite, spread a fascinating flair. Numerous small restaurants in dreamy places invite on a tour through Corsica to contemplation and arrange the typical life-feeling.

A Corsican meal consists preferentially of fish-specialties, but also from pizza and pasta. One enjoys a good glass of wine to it.
